Bookshop’s interior COWS were moo-ved on to pastures new to make way for the country’s tiniest bookshop.

And now the quirky Red Books in Bridgetown, Co Wexford, has attracted a host of famous faces – among them X-factor host Dermot O’leary and Ernest Hemingway’s grandson Patrick.

Owner Wally O’neill, 36, told the Irish Mirror: “Converting a cowshed into a bookstore isn’t as sexy as you’d imagine. We’ve managed to fit over 10,000 books in with another 65,000 kept in storage.

“Patrick Hemingway was in the shop last summer and bought a rare second edition Kilmore Parish journal off me.

“He never told me who he was and I only found out after he left.”

At just 20 by 12 square feet, the building is one of the oldest in the village, dating back two centuries. Over that time it has Red Books in Co Wexford

Owner Wally O’neill with Dermot O’leary been a coach house, a secondary school woodwork room, a hardware store and a cowshed.

Dad-of-one Wally describes himself as a “lifelong lover and collector of books”.

He added: “You’ll never get rich selling books but it’s a vocation which will never die. We’ve also launched a creative writing club, a book club and are establishing a library of local interest and history.” calling in all debts and are telling those who owe them money they will wipe the slate clean if they carry out an attack on one of the Hutch gang members or a known associate.

“For some of those who have big debts, it’s seen as a very viable offer.

“It’s not just those in prison who are at risk. Innocent members of the public who are related to one of the Hutch gang or associates are now targets too.

“Many of those visiting their loved ones have their guards down and would never think twice about being under threat.

“The Kinahan cartel have proved they are willing to kill anyone even remotely connected. They have murdered innocent bystanders who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Life means nothing to them.”

The latest victim of the feud was Jason “Buda” Molyneaux. The 27-yearold father of one was shot six times in Dublin’s north inner city on January 30.

He had been warned by gardai his life was in danger. The violent thug was due to carry the coffin of his murdered pal Derek Hutch the day after he was killed.
