Versatile Piers goes from prison chiller to Pammy filler

-

Whatever your opinion of Piers Morgan it’s fair to say he’s showcased his range as an interviewer lately.

One minute he’s going head to head with one of America’s most delusional psychopaths, the next he’s having a chat with the world’s most famous glamour model.

In case you missed last Thursday’s chilling episode of I should point out the psychopath I’m referring to is Kansas City Strangler Lorenzo Gilyard, not Piers’s other recent high-profile American interviewee.

Still, speaking of Donald Trump you could be forgiven for assuming Saturday night’s meant Piers had now cornered the market in dyed blonde airheads.

You’d be wrong. Pamela is clearly no bimbo. She also had Piers exactly where she wanted him from the off – squirming like a lovelorn schoolboy who was temporarily overlooking his own shortcomings to imagine he had a chance with the goddess before him.

Needless to say this helped make for a hugely diverting hour of harmless Saturday night telly.

The only possible downside is that Westminster’s finest may now decide that the best way to avoid a Good Morning Britain beasting would be to flatter him into submission. And no one wants to see Michael Gove flirting with Piers Morgan at breakfast time.

As well as the laughs, Pam’s chat also offered further evidence of Piers’s recent fascination with how his female guests manage to keep their faces looking so taut and youthful.

Is there a concern you’d like to share with the group, Piers?
