Well the good news is that this episode of the complex crime thriller does give us a few answers. The bad news? Yes, you guessed it, it also throws up a million questions.
Jason (Nicholas Pinnock) delivers some news to Marcella (Anna Friel) in such a vile way that it sends her into another fugue state.
When she comes back round, Jason is bleeding – you’ll only wish you’d seen her punch him in the face. Meanwhile, just as we were marvelling last week that Mark (Jack Doolan) was the unsung hero of Marcella – diligently going about solving problems, even making her tea – it turned out that he was the one watching her through the webcam.
Quick, withdraw our support for a police commendation.
Elsewhere, we catch up with poor Adam who is still chained to the wall by an unknown killer. And there’s a scene so unbelievably tense, it’s almost stomach-churning.
