that we are the best team in Scotland and, if it was to happen two years in a row, it would be truly special and people would talk about it for many years.

“I’ve not won any senior medals before, so to be a part of something like that would mean everything to me.

“At Celtic, it’s always about winning. That’s one of the reasons I came here. I want to be part of a successful side.

“These feel like special times for

Celtic. There’s a great ambience around the club.

We feel we have momentum and a good chance of making this another hugely memorable campaign. “Everyone is together. Winning the treble last year was fantastic but everyone wants to do it again.”

Celtic cruised into the last four as striker Moussa Dembele (below with Edouard) scored twice against Championship side Morton. The visitors were welldrilled as they kept the Scottish Cup holders at bay in the first half. Dembele opened the scoring with a header after the break, though, before adding a second from the penalty spot. Substitute Edouard wrapped up the scoring with a third from close range in the final minute.

Having signed a one-year loan deal from PSG, the attacker is refusing to look beyond the current season. Celtic have a first option to buy Edouard for around £7million from the French giants but manager Brendan Rodgers made it clear during the winter break that the matter would be discussed until the end of the season.

Edouard said: “I’m just playing the season right now. I’m not thinking about what’s going to happen next season.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Celtic. It’s a wonderful club with a fantastic manager and the greatest supporters.

“I feel I’m developing as a player here. I love every match and working with the squad and the coaches.

“It’s been a good move for me. Each week, I look for the chance to show I am learning and improving.

“I’m still a young man but I don’t get homesick. I love living in Glasgow. It feels like home for me right now.”
