Mccarthy: Evans will keep me on Trac

IPSWICH boss Mick Mccarthy expects to be offered a new contract by the club’s owner, Marcus Evans.

Mccarthy (above) is out of contract at the end of the season and a band of Ipswich fans don’t want him to stay.

Evans has a two-year option on Mccarthy he can trigger, and the Tractor Boys boss said: “I believe he is happy with me and wants me to stay. I love my job, so I am not about to walk away.”
