Mo steals the show

-

JURGEN KLOPP says Mo Salah’s goal haul has astonished him.

The Egyptian netted his 32nd of the season in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday.

And Kop boss Klopp admitted that while he expected Salah to be dangerous, he had no idea he would prove so lethal.

“When we signed him I had no numbers in mind,” said Klopp of the former Roma star. “We knew he was a midfielder who played very offensively and you need goals from players like that.

“But I love the goals he scores, I love his assists. I really love this player. He is doing so well, thank God he is still healthy and fit.”

Keeper Loris Karius, who had only two shots to save, earned special praise for a superb tip-over from Mohamed Diame.“if that goes in it changes the game for sure,” said Klopp. “That save was just as good as scoring a goal.” OPPORTUNITY KN-OX: PULLOUT PAGES 2&3
