Chris: We’ve timed it right

-

CHRIS HUGHTON admitted it felt like a “big win” as Brighton took a huge step towards securing their place in the Premier League next season.

Brighton blew Arsenal away with a superb first-half display, goals from

Lewis Dunk and Glenn Murray taking Hughton’s men towards touching distance of safety.

The Brighton boss said: “This is a big win, particularly given who we were playing against. We were good in the first half and might have scored another.

“We’ve been on the edge all season but we’re definitely hitting our best form at the right stage of the season. It’s now about whether we can take it forward.

“Most people probably didn’t expect us to win today but the three points will relieve the pressure. It’s a nice position to be in. Hopefully it will create some confidence. This group are working hard and giving themselves every chance.”
