WOOD: WE CAN CUT IT

CHRIS WOOD says Burnley want to be the best of the rest in the Premier League.

The Clarets are in their best campaign since 1974 and aim to finish closest to the big six after achieving their first target by hitting the 40-point mark against Everton.

“That would be great,” said the New Zealand striker.

“But there are nine games to go and a lot can happen. It’s not done and dusted. It’s a credit to everyone involved at the club that we’re seventh in the table.”
