‘Airbnb needs stricter rules’
STRICTER rules are needed to stop Airbnb hosts profiting from the housing crisis, it has been claimed.
Fianna Fail’s Barry Cowen said the number of nights a property can be rented for needs to be capped at 90.
He added: “Short-term letting platforms are having a significant impact on the rental market.
“There were 1,103 entire homes booked for more than 80 nights in Dublin in 2016. This number is climbing by the month.”
