Marty hosts adult learner awards bash
Marty Morrissey RTE sports presenter Marty Morrissey has hosted an adult education Oscars.
It was arranged by the further education body Aontas, to recognise the work of adult learning initiatives throughout Ireland.
Among those to lift gongs were St Catherine’s Community Service Centre in Carlow and An Cosan, based in Tallaght, South Dublin.
Aontas chief Niamh O’reilly said: “The awards are about highlighting the broad range of benefits from adult learning.
“This includes the diversity of provision, the range of innovative models of best practice that facilitate personal development and confidence building.”
