Seafood call for women

A CAMPAIGN to profile the important role women play in Ireland’s seafood sector has been launched.

Bord Iascaigh Mhara said the industry contributed €1.15billion to the GDP in 2017.

However, just over one in 10 employees in fishing, forestry and agriculture sectors in Ireland is female.
