Snow go blow

-

THE snow may have been melting on Sunday, but it had already served a purpose by then in reminding us just how central the GAA is to so many lives.

With all the games postponed all over the country, it pressed home just how lonely it can be without the GAA.

We get such fun and enjoyment from it and when it’s not there, we miss it terribly.

However, there were upsides. I know of some county managers who told their players to go for a few drinks and take their wives or girlfriends out, something they ordinarily wouldn’t have the opportunity to do at this time of year.
