Family plea to be rescued

-

A WOMAN yesterday said her relatives living on high ground with 10-foot snow drifts desperately need access to medication.

Lisa O’sullivan, 30, said the council gave her cousins, who live half way up Sugarloaf Mountain in Wicklow, no time for when their lane will be cleared.

She is anxious about her cousins Fiona, 19, Aoife, 27, and her partner Mario, 30, who have been trapped for a week.

Speaking before a digger arrived at their road last night, Lisa said: “We weren’t asking for it immediately but there’s enough farmers helping they could put it on the list but they just gave us a straight, ‘No’.”
