-

GARDAI have released 11 people they were quizzing over an alleged child sex ring in Munster.

The six women and five men were arrested on Monday over suspected widespread abuse in Limerick.

Officers had identified 13 alleged victims in the Newcastle West area. But the Irish Mirror learned there may be dozens more.

Gardai said: “Files will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.”

Those arrested on Monday ranged in age from their 20s to their 70s.

One security source told the Irish Mirror: “It’s absolutely horrendous. You’d get sick reading it.”
