Female hosts rake in €54m from Airbnb

AIRBNB has estimated female hosts across Ireland earned more than €54million last year.
The figures were revealed as the firm marked International Women’s Day by revealing 60% of its Irish hosts are women.
Company chief Brian Chesky said: “In the past year alone women have made almost an additional $10billion [€8billion] and represent more than half of the Airbnb community.
“Clearly women are a driving force of the Airbnb community and we are proud to provide the endto-end travel platform for their entrepreneurial spirit to thrive.”
