Naked truth about Eamonn and me...
RUTH Langsford has exposed all about her relationship with husband Eamonn Holmes.
The pair are known for tearing a strip off each other on This Morning. But Ruth said: “People talk about us arguing on TV and I laugh.
“Believe me, you wouldn’t want to see us having a full blown row on TV, especially from me!”
She revealed the real Ruth as she launched the couple’s new series, Do The Right Thing, which tonight sees her reporting on the latest fitness trend – naked exercise.
The new Channel 5 show will also be raising important consumer issues, like how small button batteries can burn through babies’ windpipes and should be coated in plastic.
But many will tune in to check out Ruth and Eamonn’s chemistry. Ruth said: “We bicker because we are a couple, but most couples would admit most rows are silly. “It is all the stupid stuff like leaving the milk out, and when you look at it, it is ridiculous. “I am married to Eamonn, but I don’t have to agree with everything he says, that would be Eamonn Holmes dull to me.” Ruth says their marriage sets them apart from other telly duos who are just put together on screen.
She added: “People relate to us because we are a real-life couple, it adds that extra dimension.
“Co-presenting is like driving and it is not easy because sometimes someone wants to turn left and someone wants to turn right but we have that unspoken thing.
“And 99% of the time I know how he is going to respond. We don’t need to say anything and that’s nice.”
They are as in-demand as ever from all TV channels and Ruth thinks she and Eamonn may never retire. She added: “I would like to think we will carry on as long as people want us.”
