Amy Huberman AMY Huberman has ruled out ever taking to the stage in a musical as singing is not one of her talents.

The 38-year-old Striking Out actress admitted she had to be dubbed over in 2005 drama Showbands.

She said: “It was a billion years ago at this stage – I think I was the only one who was dubbed.

“It was kind of a dream come true. If you want to sing and you can’t, to be dubbed with a beautiful voice is the dream.”

Speaking on the Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene on 2fm yesterday the mum of two also said she won’t be caught throwing shapes on Dancing With The Stars.

She added: “I also can’t dance. I slipped on the snow on day one…”

CASHEL, CO TIPPERARY, YESTERDAY

A Hit-and-run victim slammed the courts yesterday after the driver who left him with life-changing injuries was ordered to pay just €1,000.

Sean Healy was knocked unconscious and suffered horrific facial wounds when Marty Woods smashed into him.

He had been crossing a quiet side street in Urlingford, Co Kilkenny, but as he crouched to fix his shoe he was hit by the wing mirror of Woods’ Ford Focus which had just turned off the main road.

Sean, from Cashel, Co Tipperary, still needs plastic surgery and suffers double vision.

The 29-year-old – dad to three-year-old son Mason – needed dozens of stitches, had broken teeth, a dislocated jaw, a fractured eye socket and cheekbone.

And he has plates in his face following the accident in September 2016. But 26-year-old Woods – who drove off as Sean lay in a pool of blood – was ordered to pay €1,000 compensation, fined €100 and handed a two-year driving ban.

Sean said the sentence handed down at Thurles District Court on Tuesday was not enough.

He added: “I was crossing the road with my sister-in-law when he came round the bend and his wing mirror smashed into my face. I went flying and was knocked unconscious. I woke up in St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny. I’ve had 18 trips to the hospital. He never approached me for an apology. It’s very painful,

“I’m seeing a psychologist too. I’m devastated. It’s all said and done and I’m left with the scars on my face.”

Sean, a supervisor in a meat plant, claimed he was €2,500 out of pocket as a result of the crash because of travel expenses and days off work.

And he said he is conscious about how people look at him, thinking they focus on his right eye.

He also used to box, but is unlikely to continue due to the metal plates.

He added: “I’ve tried to cope and it’s been very difficult. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks.

“I need closure on this. My confidence is at an alltime low.”

A psychologist report revealed the extent of his suffering.

It added: “Prior to the accident he would have seen himself as a ‘nice guy’. His response to people and different situations is out of character.

“He spoke about having a level of anger about what happened, some self-directed for allowing himself to be placed in a vulnerable position.”

In November last year Woods admitted dangerous driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

In December last year court heard an apology from Woods, which Sean told Judge Elizabeth Macgrath was “too little too late”.
