Horror of 54 hands in river

FIFTY-FOUR chopped-off hands packed in bags have been found in a river.

Police, who think they may have been severed to foil identification of corpses stolen for body parts, laid them out for a picture.

One local said: “It was a sickening sight.”

The 27 pairs were discovered near Khabarovsk in Russia’s far east.
