Kym’s heroes Streets ahead

CORONATION Street star Kym Marsh left the cobbles for the red carpet as she hosted the Pride of Birmingham Awards.

Kym, 41, joined fellow celebs such as Olympic gold medal swimmer Rebecca Adlington, 29, to hail unsung heroes.

Robyn Birdsell, 11, who tackled a burglar at her home, was among the winners at Birmingham University last night.

All those honoured will go forward to the judging process for the Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, which are screened on ITV in the autumn.
