Walsh’s winning return
RUBY WALSH yesterday gave punters a pre-cheltenham boost with a triumphant return from injury.
Walsh (above), who broke his right leg in a fall at Punchestown in November, made a winning comeback aboard the Willie Mullinstrained Lareena at Thurles.
“I thought it was all right,” smiled Walsh. “She won, didn’t she?”
Walsh partners Mullins’ Karalee in the opener at Leopardstown today, with further match practice likely ahead of
Cheltenham.
“I’ll do whatever Willie wants me to do,” added the 38-year-old, the most successful rider in Festival history.
