Astonishingly the canon of unreleased material Hendrix left behind during his all too short career continues to reap rewards long after his death. This set culled from 1969, a year of transition and experimentation following the astounding triumph of Electric Ladyland, shows Hendrix’s skills as a frontman, musical genius and collaborator. Versions of many of the songs have previously been released but it makes for a colourful and fascinating addition to anyone’s Hendrix collection.
