IT’S heartbreaking to hear Jon Walters talk about losing his mother to cancer.

It’s the first time the Ireland star has opened up about his parent dying when he was 11.

The 34-year-old never grieved for her and often pretended to his friends he was OK.

Sadly, it was cancer that took her life, a disease that has touched most people.

With tomorrow being Mother’s Day it’s important to remember the great job they do and the unconditional love they show us.
