Three held over stolen goods probe

THREE men have been arrested after a Garda swoop targeting stolen property.

Officers discovered a haul of valuables, believed to be jewellery, when they raided a house on the Tipperary-laois border yesterday.

Three men, aged 27, 27 and 31, are in custody.

A Garda spokesman said: “As a result of an intelligence led operation conducted by gardai a search, under warrant, took place at a house in rural Co Laois near the Tipperary border.

“Three men were arrested at the scene and a large quantity of stolen property recovered.”
