DAVIES’ DELIGHT

-

JAMES DAVIES thought his big chance with Wales would never come.

But the flanker – brother of Lions star Jonathan – will win his first cap tomorrow.

“I feel like I have played consistently for the Scarlets but I have not been getting a chance so you do think it’s never going to happen,” said the 27-year-old (left). “But I am here now and I want to take it with both hands.”

Davies’ all-action style saw him win a silver medal with Team GB in Rugby Sevens at the Rio Olympics.

Now he finally gets his chance on the big stage. “I didn’t grow up dreaming about the Olympics,” he said. “Your dream is to play for Wales and on Sunday I achieve that dream.”
