KANE INJURY SPARKS ALERT

HARRY KANE gave Tottenham and England an injury scare after suffering his third ankle ligament injury in 18 months.

Kane left Bournemouth on crutches after rolling his ankle in the process of scoring a first-half goal that was chalked off for offside.

The Spurs striker will have a scan today after hurting himself during a 4-1 win at the Vitality Stadium.

Gareth Southgate names his England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Holland and Italy on Thursday and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino says he will hold off speaking to the Three Lions boss before he knows more about the extent of Kane’s injury.

He said: “We need to wait until tomorrow because we will scan his ankle. He suffered an injury that is to the same ankle he suffered before. I hope, we hope, it is not a massive issue but we need to wait until tomorrow.”

Kane tried to walk the injury off before admitting defeat and heading down the tunnel.
