Ever heard of micro-cheating? No, me neither, but it’s a trend that’s sweeping the globe apparently and involves seemingly small actions online or via social media.

This can be everything from lying about your relationship status and liking images, to exchanging messages with someone else and hiding them from your partner.

According to research from Nextlove, a dating site for divorced and single parents, as many as 24% of us perceive liking an image on social media as infidelity because it indicates your partner is emotionally focused on someone outside of the relationship.
