Buying sees 4.4% boost

SPENDING by household has seen a boost in the first few months of the year.

Visa’s Irish Consumer Spending Index, which measures expenditure across all payment types, signalled a 4.4% year-onyear growth in February.

The boost was solid, albeit slower than the 5.4% increase seen in January.
