Farewell to survivor Kath

-

MAGDALENE Laundries survivor Kathleen Legg died yesterday just hours after fresh calls for justice.

Mrs Legg, 85, became a leading voice in the campaign for a State apology and compensation for the women and children that suffered.

Of her own experience in a Dublin convent, she wrote: “The heavy lifting I did in there impeded me having my own children.

“The nuns robbed me of my life and the life I could have given to others.”
