ERIN Mcgregor has said she thought she was “too old” to boogie before being approached by Dancing With The Stars.

The 36-year-old narrowly avoided getting the boot from the RTE series on Sunday after being saved by the judges for the third time.

The Dubliner, whose brother is UFC star Conor Mcgregor, said: “Dancing is one of my first loves, it’s something I regret not picking up.

“I’m a big believer in [selfhelp book] The Secret and the law of attraction.

“I put it out there a few years ago to the universe that I’d love it, but I thought I was too old.

“When this opportunity came up, I think it was the universe working for me.”

Last week the mum of two responded to online trolls who wrote nasty comments about her, saying she would

“pray” for them.

Erin said the haters aren’t the ones who inspire her to do better, but the people who support her. She added: “I’m fuelled by positivity – by all the women who get behind me, every tweet, private message. I can’t allow what other people say about me to affect me.”

With just a couple of weeks left to go to the DWTS final, Erin said she’s determined to enjoy her time left on the show.

She added: “Dancing has given me that little bit of something just for me and it’s a great feeling.

“I don’t look at it like, ‘Oh, I’m in a dance-off ’. I look at it like I’m getting out there and I’m absolutely loving every second.

“It’s been a very emotional week for me in a good way. I’m so happy I’m still here.

“No matter what happens, this competition has given me more than I could imagine.

“From the girl crying backstage 10 weeks ago, to the girl who gets out there and says, ‘I’m happy in my own skin’. That to me is more than any dance competition could give me.”
