Demelza’s on song for a hit

-

Here’s the first look at Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson’s debut album, Tales from Home.

She was inspired to release the folkstyle covers – including a duet with brother Ross – after fans went wild for Demelza’s beautiful singing in the BBC series. Songs include Carole King’s Tapestry and Simon & Garfunkel’s Homeward Bound.

The album, released in May, has been produced by Poldark composer Anne Dudley, who won the Outstanding Contribution to British Music award at last year’s Ivor Novello Awards. Eleanor says it has been “wonderful” to record.

The actress will next be seen in the BBC’S delayed adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Ordeal By Innocence and the upcoming film Colette alongside Keira Knightley and Dominic West.

The BBC’S tribute to Sir Bruce Forsyth did well on Sunday, peaking with nearly 6m views at 10pm
