Capital’s gain on a pint of Guinness
Dublin dearest place in Ireland to stay in black
DUBLIN is the most expensive place to buy a pint of Guinness in Ireland, it has been revealed.
On average, a pint of the iconic drink costs €4.96 in the capital – the second most expensive price across Ireland and the UK, jobs website Cv-library found.

These two towns also displayed the least amount of variance between costs, with pints in Waterford only shifting by up to 11% (40c) and Drogheda only 13% (50c).
The most expensive pint in London was €5.86, which is more than half the city’s hourly living wage.
If you’re looking for a cheap thirst quencher then head north to Derry where Guinness costs €3.77 on average.
The survey looked at the price of a pint of Guinness in over 200 pubs across 20 different cities.
Lee Biggins, founder and managing director of Cv-library said: “With St Patrick’s Day just around the corner, we know workers across the whole of the UK and, of course, the Emerald Isle will be celebrating.
“Yet in comparing the price of Ireland’s favourite pint to living wages across the UK and Ireland, we were surprised to find how significantly it can vary.”
