COMMENTS on the Irish Mirror Facebook page on the news the Taoiseach has invited President Trump for a border visit. Noel Nolan wrote: “Let’s start building a wall now and keep the two of them out.”

Jennifer Duffy posted: “Has he truly lost his mind? Why should our tax money pay for him to come here when we can’t put money into our hospitals and housing.”

Helen Mccabe said: “He is welcome here and I would love to meet him.”

Julie Bishop wrote: “How do you think we get investors? They don’t come knocking on our door, open your ears and mind if our economy is not doing well, there is no chance of any of our problems being resolved.

“It’s not always about likes and dislikes, we are a very small country and depend on support for our economy from bigger countries.”
