CROLLA’S CHASING ED START

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

ANTHONY CROLLA aims to get back in the world-title mix by impressing against Edson Ramirez.

Crolla, 31, continues his comeback from losing his WBA lightweight crown to Jorge Linares against Ramirez on the undercard of Joshua-parker in Cardiff.

Linares is due to defend his belt against Vasyl Lomachenko, while WBC champ Mikey Garcia is likely to vacate and Crolla says he would accept a shot at any of the titles.

“The plan is to go there, get the win and look good doing it, then we can set up those big fights in the summer,” said the popular Mancunian, who is 32-6-3.

“Any one of the champions I get a chance at, I’m good for. I’m very confident I can win another world title.

“I wouldn’t be in this game if I didn’t think I could.

“This will be going out in America, so what better platform to send a nice message out to the rest of the world champions?”

Ramirez is unbeaten in his last 18 fights but Crolla is confident he will come through against the Mexican.

Crolla beat Ricky Burns in his last fight and told Sky Sports: “I do feel with age and experience, I am becoming a lot wiser and smarter in the ring.

“I feel stronger than ever. This could turn out to be a tough test, but if it is, I will get through it and it will put me in good stead for another world title fight.”
