Paul Hollywood Masterchef’s Wallace, right, with Torode THE Prime Minister of Malaysia has weighed into a row about one of the country’s chicken dishes which Masterchef judge Gregg Wallace took to task for not having crispy skin.

Contestant Zaleha Kadir Olpin served up a meal including chicken rendang curry. Wallace told her: “The skin isn’t crispy – it can’t be eaten. But all the sauce is on the skin I can’t eat”. She was later eliminated by Wallace and fellow judge John Torode. But Malaysia’s premier Najib Razak tweeted:

“Does anyone eat chicken rendang crispy?”

And a host of others from Southeast Asia slammed Wallace as PAUL Hollywood’s girlfriend Summer Monteys-fullam has credited the Great British Bake Off judge for turning her “from a girl to a woman” in a gushing online post.

The barmaid, 22, has been enjoying a romantic break with Paul, 52, in Mauritius, according to reports.

She wrote about her “amazing boyfriend” in a note on social media to mark the end of 2017.

Summer has now deleted her Instagram account but did not hold back in her praise of the TV star in the post, which was unearthed and republished online yesterday.

Summer wrote: “You have been amazing. You have been journey. You have been experience. You have taught me. You have shown me. You have made me.

“I can only thank the people that are close to me. Including my amazing boyfriend. You have turned me from a girl to a woman, and to a house woman. I love you so much!

“This post is not for likes but the love of my life. I am truly a lucky girl and have the best things and people and animals around me...”

According to reports, Hollywood “looked extremely happy” with his alleged new love as they stayed at the €1,150-a-night tropical resort.

ENJOYED

Before they enjoyed the sunshine, the pair reportedly agreed to meet in the US, with neither party telling friends who they were meeting. Hollywood and his ex-wife Alexandra have a son Josh, 16. They met in 1995, the same year Summer was born, and wed three years later.

Last November, they announced the marriage was over and the Bake Off star then developed a relationship with Summer, who was working at the Duke William pub, in Ickham, Kent. Paul reportedly met barmaid Summer when he arranged a birthday party for his wife at the venue.

He and Alex previously separated in 2013, when the TV chef admitted his affair with Marcela Valladolid, his co-star on the US version of Bake Off. They later reconciled, before their final split last November. The couple said in a statement at the time: “It is with sadness that we have decided to separate. “Our focus continues to be the happiness of our son, and we would ask the press and public to allow us privacy as a family during this very difficult time.”

Hollywood is worth an estimated €11million and became a household name on Bake Off alongside fellow judge Mary Berry, 83. wrong. British High Commissioner Vicki Treadwell added: “Rendang is an iconic Malaysian dish... it is never crispy.” A spokesman for the BBC show said: “Gregg wasn’t suggesting the dish should traditionally have crispy skin. He was saying he couldn’t experience the flavours as it was presented.”
