ADELE has cast off her cloak of secrecy after wearing it to perform the nuptials for comedian Alan Carr.

The singer, 29, posted this pic on Instagram and admitted “the cat’s out of the bag” about his marriage to Paul Drayton in her LA garden.

Carr, 41, had told ITV: “She got ordained and she married us... and sang my first dance.”

The 27-year-old is subject to an internal review after he was reportedly caught up in the fall-out from the rape trial of his teammates Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding.

Both men were found not guilty.

In a joint statement with the IRFU, Ulster Rugby said Gilroy wouldn’t be available for selection for this Friday’s PRO14 game away at Edinburgh.

During the trial, the court heard a friend of Olding’s, referred to as “CG”, had used derogatory language in a Whatsapp message to him.

Gilroy last night broke his silence and insisted he “takes full responsibility” for his actions.

He said: “I would like to apologise unreservedly for any offence caused by the Whatsapp message I sent in June 2016. I would just like to clarify it was sent privately, not part of any group chat.

“Regardless, my comment was totally inappropriate and is not an accurate reflection of my beliefs nor Ulster Rugby’s values.

“I take full responsibility for my actions and in future will ensure the language I use in private or public better reflects who I am and what I stand for. I am deeply sorry for the hurt my comment has caused.”

Head coach Jono Gibbes had said on Monday winger Gilroy was in contention to play in Edinburgh. He also admitted that recent events concerning the trial and subsequent acquittal of Jackson and Olding has been “difficult”.

The review of Gilroy’s position is the latest controversy to befall Ulster.

Amid Jackson and Olding’s suspension, the provincial team has also had to contend with the departure of director of rugby Les Kiss.

Gibbes himself also confirmed he was returning to New Zealand at the end of the current season.

Ghief executive Shane Logan, who was appointed in 2010, came out firing last month, defending his position at the head of the organisation.

But he admitted: “It has been a turbulent time.”
