JACK NICKLAUS claimed watching his grandson nail a hole-in-one at the Masters was better than winning six Green Jackets himself.

The Golden Bear, 78, admitted he cried tears of joy when 15-year-old

Gary Nicklaus Jr – nicknamed JT – aced the final hole in the par-three contest.

“My wins here are OK but to watch your grandson make his first holein-one, that’s my No.1 memory here,” said Nicklaus (with JT, above).

The American legend and Gary Player hit the ceremonial opening drives before the opening round yesterday.
