MEL B has signed a bigmoney deal to write a tell-all autobiography about her divorce.

The singer described her memoir Brutally Honest as an “explosive and moving” read that reveals the inside story of acrimonious split from Stephen Belafonte. Mel B, 42, filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years in December, accusing him of “emotional and physical abuse”.

In the book, the former X Factor judge will discuss her relationships with “domineering, controlling men”. The star said: “After a very public court case, I want to set the record straight.

“This book will show that abuse can happen to anyone. It is important that my three girls, who I raise as a single mother, know how to break the chain of abuse – along with any other woman who reads this book.”

The pair finalised their divorce late last year. They have agreed to share custody of their daughter

Madison, six. But film producer Stephen is also seeking visitation rights to Angel, 11, Mel B’s daughter with US comedian and actor Eddie Murphy. Mel B is also mum to Phoenix Chi, 19.

Mel B’s released an autobiography, Catch A Fire, in 2002.

But a source said: “So much has happened since Mel’s first book. As well as her marriage breakdown, she’s had a paternity row with Eddie Murphy, plus the Spice Girls reunion and her time working on X Factor.”
