Rose Henderson FATHER Ted actress Rose Henderson has said she’s an advocate for home births and believes every woman should get to make their own choice.

The star, 56, shot to fame in the hit show as Sister Assumpta who helped the comedy priest give up cigarettes for Lent.

Rose said she is supporting the Repeal the 8th referendum as women should be allowed to be in control of their bodies.

The mum of four added: “I’m just so into allowing women to make their own choice. It’s not something you can legislate for, but you can legislate for them to be allowed to make their own choice.

“Three of my children were born at home and that’s kind of being frowned on at the minute.

“Nowadays we’ve given our power away lots of the times [as if ] the doctor knows best.”

The actress is starring in the Comedy Roadhouse at Dublin’s Project Art Centre from April 30 to May 5. TWO people were taken to hospital after a car smashed into a house yesterday morning.

The terrifying collision happened in Celbridge, Co Kildare, at around 3am and these dramatic pictures shows the extent of the damage to the front of the building.

The pair had to be cut from the mangled car by emergency responders and were taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

Gardai closed the Maynooth Road, R405, as emergency services dealt with the incident.

Tallaght Ambulance posted on Twitter: “We attended a road traffic collision in Co Kildare along with a rapid response vehicle, Maynooth Ambulance and Kildare Fire & Rescue. Two patients transported to hospital.”
