GLENDA Gilson was the mother of all stars at last night’s Peter Mark VIP Style Awards just hours after announcing her pregnancy.

There was no sign of a baby bump as the Xpose presenter, 37, stepped out in a black dress with husband Rob Mcnaughton.

While she was looking glamorous on the red carpet, the model, who is 13 weeks pregnant, admitted she has struggled with morning sickness.

But Glenda said she and Rob are “over the moon” to be expecting.

She told the Irish Mirror: “I got the all-clear this week so I’m in the safety zone.

“I feel absolutely thrilled as you can imagine but I’m sick every day for the last couple of weeks and it hasn’t stopped.

“That’s a tough one as well because doing the job I’m doing, you’re interviewing someone and you’re like [about to get sick]. You’re trying to get to the end of the sentence and when you feel it, it comes.

“Over the last few weeks I’ve been sick in front of cameramen, stylists but thankfully no celebs.”

Glenda discovered she was pregnant a few weeks ago but started having symptoms while filming Ireland’s Got Mor Talent.

She said: “I knew it wasn’t nerves. It was like, ‘What the hell is this?’ But it wasn’t every day. I was hanging out of a ceiling on a harness – if I had known that [I was pregnant] I wouldn’t have done that.”

Taking to Instagram to share the baby news, Glenda shared a snap alongside her husband and pet dog.

She said: “Excited to let you know myself & rob are adding to our little family.

“We’re both so happy and feel so blessed that I’m pregnant... hopefully our baby won’t be as hairy as Yazz.”

Irish celebrities took to social media to send their well-wishes to the couple.

Model Nadia Forde said: “Ahhhhhhhhhhh I’m so excited for you guys!”

Blogger Rosie Connolly wrote “Oh my god I’m THRILLED!”.

And model Pippa O’connor added: “Ah I’m delighted to hear that guys – lovely news! You’ll be amazing parents.”

Glenda recently hit the headlines as she bemoaned not being declared Ireland’s most stylish woman.

She told the Irish Mirror: “It’s the 17th time I’ve been nominated. Every year people say it has to be your year but I just forget about it now and enjoy the night.”

Other famous faces on the red carpet included Rosanna Davison, Claudine Keane, Aoife Walsh, Rosie Connolly and Anna Geary.

The Ryan sisters, Georgina and Nicky Byrne, Blathnaid Treacy and Stephen Byrne also turned on the style at the five-star Marker Hotel in Dublin.
