‘Maternity hospital must be kept free from Church’
Spencer hints he and Vogue tied the knot during romantic greek holiday
Ms Mcdonald THE National Maternity Hospital “must be free from religious influence”, the Sinn Fein leader has claimed.
Mary Lou Mcdonald voiced her concern following reports over the St Vincent’s Campus.
The Sunday Times said yesterday the new hospital will uphold the values of Religious Sisters of Charity founder Mary Aikenhead.
Ms Mcdonald said: “Health services delivered at the new National Maternity hospital must be free from religious interference.
GUARANTEE
“It is clear there must be legal guarantees to ensure independence from all non-medical influence in clinical operations.
“Last year, the Dail passed a Sinn Fein motion supporting this demand.
“Minister Simon Harris needs to make clear that the Government will ensure that the ethos of the State-owned facility will be shaped only by modern medical standards and principles.
“We need this clarity as this issue is very significant for patients and particularly for women who will be cared for at the new maternity hospital.” FANS are convinced Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews got married in a secret ceremony after Spencer shared a cryptic social media post.
The Made In Chelsea star appeared to drop a major hint writing he and his pregnant fiancee are “family” after a “magical night” in Greece.
Earlier reports suggested they were splashing the cash on a €500,000 wedding in the Caribbean, but now it seems they may have brought their big day forward ahead of the birth of their first child together.
Spencer wrote beside a photo of the couple on holiday in Crete:
“Last night was magical... We are
FAMILY... Can the Little one hurry up already @voguewilliams??”
One fan commented to say:
“Congratulations to you both!! He has beautiful parents!”
A third complimented the pair:
“I’m very happy for you guys, congrats to you both!!”
Reality star Spencer and model Vogue – who was previously wed to former Westlife star Brian Mcfadden – have shared a number of snaps from their stay at Domes Noruz Chania, a five-star adults-only resort on the Greek island.
One photo showed the Dublin mum-to-be looking glowing in a flowing yellow print maxi dress while Spencer chose coral trousers paired with a daring floral shirt.
I am very happy for you guys, congrats to you both
