DESTINATION 10-IN-A-ROW FOR BROWN

- BY GAVIN BERRY

SCOTT BROWN has fired an ominous warning to their rivals that Celtic are only going to get better after savouring the sweetest title success following their Old Firm derby demolition. Brown won his eighth title in 10 seasons and seventh on the spin as Hoops skipper but he insists there will be no let up from the champions. The sky-high Parkhead stars probably didn’t need the plane to take them to Tenerife last night for a warm weather training camp. Brown was again inspirational in the 5-0 stroll against ragged Rangers and the victory puts them 10 points ahead of nearest challengers Aberdeen.

And the 32-year-old captain had a message for the chasing pack as he looks to make history next month by becoming the first to lead his side to back-to-back Trebles.

Brown said: “It was important to lay down a marker because we are going to get better. There is a lot more time for us now to focus in training.

“There are places up for grabs in a cup final now, so everyone will be wanting a chance and I’m sure the gaffer will rest a couple of players here and there.

“It’s all about our willingness to win now, to keep producing that form every week. We’ve got a few hard games coming up so we need to stay on it.

“But it’s lovely, the way we did it, in the sunshine, in front of our own fans by beating Rangers.

“It was all about our own performance today.

“We let ourselves down last week against Hibs but we managed to bounce back. We had spoken about bouncing back in style and we did that today.

“It’s the first time the title has been won against Rangers for a long, long time at Celtic Park. So it’s a great honour to be here and be part of it.”
