Bank Holiday weekend number one of the summer season is upon us which of course means Sunday night will have a few big names coming to town.

Before we get to Sunday though, tonight the guys at Hangar kick off the weekend with Tim Tamaelasapal aka Tim Tama.

The 22-year-old Dutch Dj/producer’s sound can be described as a unique blend of hardhitting drums and cinematic strings. In a relatively short amount of time, he has managed to release material on labels such as Obscuur Records, Taro Records, Raven Sigh, and Grounded.

He is joined by head of the Operator collective Theologue , Luke Xander and James Cherry. Tickets are €15 and doors are 11pm.

Tomorrow the man Will Kinsella takes the helm at PYG, as himself LIVE as opposed to his current Hybrasil project.

One of the main men through the nine years of PYG’S rise to awesomeness, Will has shaped the vibe and direction of the venue along with Colin Perkins and is back on home turf tomorrow night – support is from the Eve ladies Jess Tillion and Lauren Kenny who go Back 2 Back while Maggie Rose works the bar warm up from 6pm, admission is €10 and doors from 10pm.

Bank Holiday Sunday, Abstract bring Roni

Size to Wah Wah Club (South William). From the inception of jungle and drum’n’bass, to transforming underground electronic music into something that could be played by a live band on the biggest arena and festival stages, Roni has at each stage created not just a sound or style but an entire methodology of how music can be made.

Twenty years ago he won the Mercury Prize for his New Forms album which brought D’N’B to the forefront, making the industry sit up and pay attention.

The 20th anniversary re-release of New

Forms (featuring a live set together with brand new remixes, edits and tracks) garnered huge support across digital and print media as well as on radio and had seen Roni propelled back onto the circuit with live tours all over Europe this summer. And, yep, Dublin is his stop this Sunday.

Tickets are €15 and doors are at 11pm, Sol Fud and Abstract DJS support.

District 8 and Subject bring you Scottish duo and revered tech icons Slam along side former glamour model Rebekah Teasdale for a Soma Records label party.

Admission is €20 and doors are at 11pm.
