Russian forces shoot suspect
Security team closes in RUSSIAN security services have gunned down a suspected ISIS terrorist in a city hosting next month’s World Cup.
Three officers were wounded in the shoot-out with a gunman later identified as a jihadist “warrior”.

1,000 arrests in 19 cities across Russia.
After he was sworn in, Putin told the

“I will do all I can to multiply the strength and prosperity of Russia. We need breakthroughs in all areas of life. Such a leap forward can only be secured with a free society that accepts all that is new and advanced.”
He had been driven to the ceremony in a new Russian-made Aurus limousine, ditching his old stretch Mercedes. then fled to his rented flat in the city, nine miles from the stadium where England will play Panama on June 24.
Armed agents shot into the flat and video footage showed the unnamed man lying dead on the floor. An AK-47 assault rifle was seen at the scene.
Two ISIS sources have claimed responsibility for the incident. Thousands of England fans are expected to travel to Nizhny Novgorod, 260 miles east of Moscow. ISIS is regularly threatening to target the tournament.
Chris Hawkins, senior analyst at Jane’s Terrorism and Insurgency Centre, said: “There are numerous threats affecting the World Cup.
“The main one comes from lone actors with low capabilities. Tactics will likely include knives and vehicle attacks targeting fans visiting games or the surrounding areas.” AK-47 found at scene
