Shock footage shows victim being punched in head
Nightclub sign in Buncrana, Co Donegal FOOTAGE has emerged of a savage attack on a Dublin Bus driver who can be seen being punched in the head several times.
Gardai have confirmed they are investigating the shocking incident, which took place in Greystones, Co Wicklow, earlier this month.
The clip was taken by a passenger on the 184 bus and it shows a thug talking to the driver before launching an attack on the innocent worker.
The footage begins with the yob, who is wearing a black baseball cap backwards, pleading with the driver, who appears to be telling him “no”.
After the driver appears to say “Good luck pal”, the thug launches a savage attack, punching him in the head several times before pulling him off the double decker.
TERRIFYING
Passengers on the bus are clearly shocked and many can be heard screaming during the terrifying attack.
Towards the end, it seems a number of brave passengers come to the driver’s aid and manage to pin down the thug.
A Dublin Bus spokesman said: “This incident took place on Friday, May 4, at approximately 15.00 on Route 184 travelling towards Newtownmountkennedy. “An Garda Siochana attended the scene and CCTV footage from the bus has been downloaded and made available to them.”
