Comic Jason all set for TV awards bash
Jason Byrne COMEDIAN Jason Byrne is to host this year’s IFTAS, it was revealed yesterday.
The awards bash is to take place at the RDS Concert Hall in Dublin on Thursday, May 31.
The event celebrates work by Irish screen talent in the past year.
Jason said: “At a time when more quality television is being made all over the world, it’s great to see Irish TV being able to hold its own.”
Nominees include The Young Offenders, Derry Girls, Dancing With The Stars, Can’t Cope Won’t Cope, Brendan O’connor’s Cutting Edge and the Tommy Tiernan Show.

This included a spread of beaches from all over the country, with each province well represented. Greystones in Co Wicklow, Redbarn Beach in Co Cork and Salthill in Co Galway were among last year’s blue flags beaches.
