‘Restless’ Rob out to get Real
ROBERTO FIRMINO is desperate to crown his best season by winning the Champions League.
The Brazil star has been sensational for Liverpool and has contributed a career-best 27 goals and 17 assists during the campaign.
But he wants more and has set his sights on beating Real Madrid in Kiev in the final on May 26 to lift the Champions League.
“This year is my best year as a professional footballer, but I am still a little bit restless as I always want more, to grow even further,” said Firmino.
“It would be a unique moment to win. It’s a very special trophy.
“If we’re fortunate enough to be able to win it, it will be a very emotional moment for me and the whole team.”
Firmino, 26, has scored 10 goals during Liverpool’s march to Kiev – a feat only bettered by Cristiano Ronaldo this season – and made eight assists.
He added: “It is my first season in the Champions League and I am one of the leading scorers, alongside Cristiano and Salah.
“I’m pretty pleased and very happy with my performance, and the entire team’s performance.”
