Whitney died in 2012 WHITNEY Houston was sexually abused as a child by her cousin Dee Dee Warwick, a new documentary claims.

The tragic star’s half-brother Gary Garland-houston and assistant Mary Jones both make the accusations against the soul musician, who was Dionne Warwick’s sister.

Mary claims in the film Whitney: “We was talking one day because she knows my sister and my sister was molested at an early age.

“She said, ‘Mary, I was too. I was molested at a young age but it was a woman’. She has tears in her eyes. I said, ‘Have you ever told your mother?’ She says: ‘No… she would hurt somebody if I told her.’”

Asked who it was, she said Whitney replied: “It was Dee Dee Warwick.”

Mary adds: “I think she was ashamed. She used to say: ‘Maybe I did something that made her think I wanted her.’ I used to say: ‘Stop it. A predator is a predator’.”

Gary backed the claims and says he was abused by Warwick from the age of seven to nine. He tells the movie: “There were a lot of things going on. Being a child and being molested by a female family member.”

Warwick, who struggled with narcotics addiction for years, died in 2008 aged 63. She was the niece of Whitney’s mum Cissy. Whitney’s director Kevin Macdonald said Cissy knows about the accusations. The Brit added: “She was told and very upset.” The film premiered at Cannes on Wednesday.

It will be in UK cinemas on July 6. It is the second film about the singer, who drowned in the bath aged 48 in 2012, after last year’s Whitney: Can I Be Me.
