(Beat Norwich 5-3 on penalties) The Blues needed a replay and spot-kicks to get past Championsh­ip Norwich. The home side were down to nine men after Pedro and Alvaro Morata were sent off late on.

FOURTH ROUND

(Beat Newcastle 3-0) Antonio Conte’s side easily brushed aside

FIFTH ROUND

(Beat Hull 4-0)

Olivier Giroud hit his first goal for the Blues. It was a rampant performanc­e from Chelsea who were 4-0 up at the break with the other goals from Willian (2) and Pedro.

QUARTER-FINAL

(Beat Leicester 2-1)

A tough tie at Premier League rivals Leicester was won in extra time thanks to Pedro. Morata put the Blues in front just before half-time before a Jamie Vardy equaliser forced the game into the additional 30 minutes.

SEMI-FINAL

(Beat Southampto­n 2-0) Strikers Giroud and Morata saw off Saints and sent the Blues into their 13th FA Cup Final. MAN UNITED

THIRD ROUND

(Beat Derby 2-0)

United were forced to wait for a breakthrou­gh before Jesse Lingard’s 84th-minute goal finally fired them into the ascendancy. Romelu Lukaku (left) added gloss to the scoreline in stoppage time.

FOURTH ROUND

(Beat Yeovil 4-0)

Might have been a banana skin but Alexis Sanchez’s United debut ended in a comfortabl­e victory for the Red Devils. Marcus Rashford, Ander Herrera, Lingard and Lukaku were on target at Huish Park.

FIFTH ROUND

(Beat Huddersfie­ld 2-0)

Having already slipped up at the John Smith’s Stadium in the Premier League, Lukaku settled the nerves with a third-minute goal and added another in the second half.

QUARTER-FINAL

(Beat Brighton 2-0)

It was that man Lukaku who again opened the scoring eight minutes before the break before Nemanja Matic made the game, and a semifinal place, safe near the end.

SEMI-FINAL
