BRIAN O’driscoll and Amy Huberman have turned down the chance to take part on Dancing With The Stars for the third time.

The second series of the hit RTE show only wrapped up two months ago and producers are already looking to line up celebs for the third run.

However, the Irish rugby legend and his actress wife, both 39, have already ruled themselves out due to work commitments.

DWTS executive producer Larry Bass told the Irish Mail On Sunday: “From day one, we have always wanted to get Brian or Amy to take part in the show.

“Every year they are top of our hit list and, every year, they have turned it down.

“They would be huge hits with audiences at home and Brian is an athlete and could easily be as good on the dancefloor as he was on the pitch.

“And everyone loves Amy so it would have been a real coup to get either of them to sign up.”

While the pair – who married in 2010 and have two children together

Sadie, five, and three-year-old Billy – keep turning down RTE’S offers, Larry added they will continue to ask them to take part. He said: “This time around, Brian is very busy with a World Cup coming up and his TV commitments and Amy has a show she has written for RTE in development.

“So we were not surprised when their agent came back to say they are not interested.

“They’d be perfect for the show though and we will still keep on hoping they’ll come around down the line.”

A number of famous faces are reported to be in the mix for the next series of DWTS already, including singers Nadine Coyle and Brian Kennedy.
