turned DJ as the wedding group danced to 80s and 90s hits.

A DJ who slipped his business card to Harry during a visit to Brixton in South London, hinted that it worked and he secured the commission to play at the do.

Jevanni Letford posted a photo of Windsor with the caption: “Calm before the excitement.”

In honour of Harry’s time in the forces, the evening was lubricated by cocktails with military names such as the Apache, the Brimstone, the Rapier and the Hellfire.

Guests were given slippers to wear when their feet were tired from dancing.

Actress Troian Bellisario, wife of Meghan’s former on-screen husband Patrick J Adams in Suits, posted on Instagram: “How amazing is this?

“Because these shoes have come off. They have slippers for us. Slippers! I’m so ready.”

Harry’s ex Chelsy Davy, who had been spotted on TV looking glum as he tied the knot, appeared in a better mood at the party. She was all smiles and was even seen embracing Meghan, who wore Princess Diana’s aquamarine ring.

After Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, left, guests were thought to have

gone to an “after after party” at London’s Chiltern Firehouse.

An insider said: “Harry and Meghan went about midnight, shattered and madly in love.”

But there was still time for a Kate and Wills arrive at Kensington Palace yesterday

prank by William, who attached a ladder to the couple’s car.

The guest said: “Apparently Harry fell off a ladder recently while changing a light bulb for Meghan and hurt his arm. So Wills tied a ladder to the back of the car, which nearly floored a few people.” Proud dad Charles gave a speech at the earlier reception at St George’s Hall in Windsor Castle. Talking about the man his son had become, he said: “My darling old Harry, I’m so happy for you.”

William, Kate, and their children George, Charlotte and Louis were seen leaving Windsor Castle at noon yesterday to head home to Kensington Palace.

The Queen, who is not thought to have attended the evening event, was spotted wearing sunglasses as she was driven to and from church.

But the newlyweds were nowhere to be seen yesterday despite staying overnight at the castle.

Before their honeymoon, tipped to be in Namibia, Harry and Meghan will be at a garden party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday to celebrate Charles’ 70th birthday.

Meghan’s dad Thomas, who was too ill to walk his daughter down the aisle, spoke of his sorrow.

He told US website TMZ: “I will always regret not being able to be there and not being able to hold my daughter’s hand.

“My baby girl is a duchess and I love her so much.” Prince Charles gave Meghan away instead.

“Congratulations, an amazing day. So proud to be British! Thank you so much for including @davidbeckham and I. We are so honoured and so happy for you both.”

“What a proud day for our country. Watching Harry as happy as he was makes us all proud of the man and person he has always been. What a day.”

Meghan’s pal and star of Quantico: “Every once in a while, there is a moment when time stands still. That happened today. You, my friend, were the epitome of grace, love and beauty. I wish you both love happiness and togetherness always.”

Meghan’s Suits co-star: “Congrats to Meghan and Prince Harry. Enjoyed meeting many of your family and friends, and an incredible honour to be a part of the whole celebration. May your journey together be full of love and children.”

Gabriel’s actress wife: “What a beautiful and joyous day today was. I danced when Elton John sang, laughed at Prince

Charles’ fantastic speech and am honoured to witness your love for each other.”

fellow Suits actress: “Still processing this momentous occasion. We were honoured to witness such a sublime and emotional event. We wish the happy couple every blessing with all our hearts.”

posted a poem by Maya Angelou: “Love recognises no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination, full of hope.”

It wasn’t traditional in the slightest. They went into a bit of a jive and a hop GUEST

IN keeping with long royal tradition, Meghan’s wedding bouquet now lies on the grave of the Unknown Warrior in Westminster Abbey.

It included forget-me-nots in memory of Princess Diana. The Queen Mum left the first posy in 1923 after marrying the future George VI.

The flowers that adorned St George’s Chapel and St George’s Hall were sent to charities.
